In every person's life there is someone who others idolize and who you think is a jerk. That's how this song was inspired. But it evolved into something else as many of my songs do.

This is who I am. And if you don't like it, there's nothing I can do...

Being yourself and standing in your power scares others. Embrace your gifts and share them with the world. Don't play small to make others feel better. Just don't be arrogant about it.
